Built Openly

The Practice Of Open

The majority of the web and internet has been built on top of open source technologies. Open products and technologies are a large reason that it's so easy for new applications and even entire businesses to be built. So we thought, lets take that idea further - so pltfrm.team will be built in the open with blog posts and documentation about how we run our business.

Run Openly

Open Services

Platform engineering is a field which involves tying together a number of technologies and business processes. The aim of a platform engineering team is to enable developers to build and deploy to a standardised and managed platform. Every company has their own way of achieving this, so we decided to take the DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) approach. We're going to run our platforms in the open so other businesses can make use of the toolchains, systems and technology integrations we design.

Managed Openly

Default Transparency

When companies think Cloud, they think vendor lock-in. This is why most companies don't rely on existing platforms-as-a-service to scale their applications beyond startup scale. The idea that their entire business could suddenly disappear from the internet has many mature businesses rushing to build their own platform teams. This is why we're dedicated to transparency - by default. For our customers to make us their personal platform teams, they need to understand what we're providing them, how we're providing it to them and that they can move their entire platform in-house.
